On November 30, Wanhua Chemical Group Co., Ltd. announced the reduction of MDI prices in China in December 2022, of which the Chinese region aggregated MDI listing price was RMB 16,800/ton (RMB 1,000/ton was reduced by the price in November); the pure MDI listed price RMB 20,000/ton (RMB 3,000/ton was reduced from the price in November). Pure MDI has a minimum quotation since 2022. Compared with the highest quotation of RMB 26,800/ton in March, it has decreased by 34%.

MDI, TDI device resume production
On October 11th, the MDI device of the Wanhua Chemical Yantai Industrial Park (1.1 million tons/year) and TDI device (300,000 tons/year) began production and maintenance. On November 30th, Wanhua Chemical announced that the above -mentioned installation of the company’s Yantai Industrial Park has ended and the production is resumed.
Fujian 400,000 tons/year MDI device will be put into production soon
On November 14th, Wanhua Chemical said at the third quarter performance briefing of the 2022 in the Shanghai Securities Road Award Center: At the end of the fourth quarter of this year, Wanhua Fujian 400,000 tons/year MDI device plan was put into production. The company will own Yantai, Ningbo, Ningbo, Four MDI production bases in Fujian and Hungary. In addition, the main purpose of Ningxia’s MDI separation device is to be close to the needs of customers such as local markets, serving the downstream amino amino ammonia, and building energy conservation in the west. It is expected to be put into production at the end of next year.
