A research team from a university in Nanjing published a study in August 2025, developing a scraped-film evaporation/distillation coupling technology for treating DMSO-containing waste liquid generated during the production of energetic materials.
Technical Advantages: This technology can efficiently recover DMSO from HMX-contaminated DMSO aqueous solutions at a relatively low temperature of 115°C, achieving a purity of over 95.5% while keeping the thermal decomposition rate of DMSO below 0.03%.
Application Value: This technology successfully increases the effective recycling cycles of DMSO from the traditional 3-4 times to 21 times, while maintaining its original dissolution performance after recycling.
